Invitation from NEF to State QZAB Directors

Invitation from NEF to State QZAB Directors re: National STEM Education Leadership Award  to Warren County SD QZAB Academy

May 28, 2013

Dear State QZAB Director,

As you know, National Education Foundation (NEF)  is the national non-profit leader in STEM education and in providing LEAs top-quality QZAB 10% match and QZAB Academy, both mandated by the QZAB law.

NEF, SUNY (State University of NY), Supt. Bill Cody (the former state supt. of LA and KY), Supt. Are Stellar (Past President of ASCD and district supt. in many states),    Prof, Tony Betrus ( national expert in STEM and Instructional Technology), Pat Dengel         (QZAB expert and until recently the state QZAB director for PA) and I would like to invite you to the National STEM Education Leadership  Award Ceremony at the Warren County School District (WCSD) in Warren, PA on May 29, 2013.

WSCD’s QZAB Academy was selected to receive the Award for advancing an average student one grade level in a STEM subject (Science, Tech, Engineering, Math, Social Studies, SAT/ACT, IT, Business, Management)  in 20 learning hours on the best online casino NEF CyberLearning Total System Solution, as per the evaluation by SUNY. The national average for all the students on our QZAB academies was 24 hours during the first semester of the 2012-13 school year.

The System Solution consists of Personalized learning, Stipends (performance-based)  for teachers, Learning management system, Mentoring, Motivation, Teacher training and Tech support. Thus, our QZAB academies “prepare students better for college and workforce,” as required by the QZAB law. Starting 2013-14 school year, NEF is going to guarantee student performance—a game changer in QZAB academies and STEM education in the nation.

At the WCSD Award event, you will get a chance to interact with the students, teachers, parents and administers to see how an effective QZAB program works.

If you plan to attend, please RSVP Tamara Stevens at tstephens@nefuniversity.org or call 703-823-9999 . Tamara will then send you detailed schedule and information.

Working together, we CAN make a difference (our mission) in the lives of the students in the QZAB-eligible  (35% or more students on F/R Lunch) school districts! Have a great day!

PS. Pat Dengel, the recently retired PA state QZAB director is available to help any of you, especially the new QZAB directors, with all aspects of QZAB at no cost. Pat us the unique distinction  of getting all of PA’s QZAB funds deployed over the years, ensuring that the LEAs used quality 10% match and set up effective QZAB academies.
