NEF Message to State QZAB Directors 12/22/11

Dear State QZAB Director,

Thank you very much for everything you have done so far for the QZAB program. Our recent conversations with the Congress re: QZAB extension for 2012 have been encouraging. It looks like that the Tax Extender Bill, of which QZAB is a small part, may not be voted on for a few weeks. But when passed, the extension would be retroactive to January 1, 2012. Congress is concerned that many states have not used much of their QZAB allocations. We assured them that in 2012 usage would be a lot higher, since QSCBs have been used up. Wishing you all the very best in 2012.

Other points of interest:

1) This October, I was awarded the 2011 Distinguished Services Award by the University of Wisconsin, the third largest research university in the US. We have set up a program with the University to provide job skills training for all the laid off teachers in the state of Wisconsin.

2) In June, we launched a program at the Clinton Global Initiative to set up STEM+ (Science, Tech, Engineering, Math, English, Social Studies, SAT/ACT, IT, Business, Management) QZAB academies across the Nation to train one million students of disadvantaged schools

3) In January, 2012, we will launch a national program to provide tuition-free training to one million jobseekers in the US in IT, Business and Management certification areas of high job demand

4) My book HAPPY EXECUTIVE-Nurturing Mind, Body and Soul will be published in 2012. We are planning to distribute the book to a million young executives in the US
