The National Education Foundation (NEF) is a 501 (c) (3) nonprofit organization,
headquartered in metropolitan Washington, D.C. Founded in 1989, after
consultations with national leaders including former President Bill
Clinton and Intel founder Dr. Gordon Moore, NEF is the world's leading
nonprofit organization bridging the employment, digital and academic
divides by providing high quality affordable 21st Century online education
to millions of students and jobseekers in many countries including the
U.S., India, Egypt, Jordan and Mauritius. NEF offers 3,000 high quality
online courses and mentoring using state-of-the-art LMS (Learning Management System) and interactive
video platform.

Projects: NEF fulfills its mission through the following projects: 1) CyberLearning Academy (www.cyberlearning.org) provides 21st century skills for disadvantaged students in math, science, technology, business and testprep to close the academic and digital gaps. The goal is to set up a CyberLearning Academy in most disadvantaged schools in the U.S. by 2020. 2) CyberLearning (www.nefuniversity.org) provides workforce training solutions to close the skills gap. The immediate goal is to train one million U.S. jobseekers in Stimulus (ARRA)-related jobs in 2010. 3) NEF International provides academic, digital and workforce training to disadvantaged students and adults in many countries including India, Egypt, Jordan and Mauritius (training the entire population in digital literacy.)
